01

What we check

  • Decay, cracks, and failing fillings
  • Gum health and bone levels
  • Oral cancer screening (VELscope)
  • Bite, grinding, and jaw joint
  • Existing crowns, bridges, and implants
02

Why twice a year

Tartar hardens within weeks and can’t be brushed off. Gum disease and decay often cause no pain until they’re advanced. Regular visits keep both in check—and most insurance plans cover them fully.

Helpful questions

Clear answers before you reach out.

It’s been years since my last visit. Is that a problem?+

You’re not alone, and we won’t lecture. Come in and we’ll make a simple plan.

Does insurance cover routine exams?+

Most dental plans cover preventive visits in full. Call with your plan details and we’ll verify your benefits before you arrive.

Is an oral cancer screening part of the exam?+

Yes. Every exam includes a VELscope screening—a quick, painless, light-based check for abnormal tissue.

Due for a visit

Book the exam and the cleaning together.

One appointment usually covers the exam, the oral cancer screening, and your cleaning.
